Kirche

The church is one of the oldest and most important themes of theology. It did not however become a central theme until the modern era, in the 19th century in particular, with the help of and recourse to older texts which were interpreted from a modern perspective. The volume shows how the church became a theme in each of the various theological subdisciplines. The experts in each field enter into a discussion which reveals the convergences and divergences of the various perspectives.
