Summary
Although climate factors materialize in the established risk categories in supervisory law and are thus - in principle - already considered in the regulatory framework, managing them entails specific challenges. This thesis analyses whether and to what extent the micro- and macroprudential instruments of banking supervision law can be used and/or further developed in order to ensure an adequate management of climate risks.
