Summary
The twenty-third edition of the commentary's fourth volume updates §§ 271-327 with comments on the latest legal rulings and literature, while several changes in the law are also considered. Starting with this edition, Christoph Thole has taken on the task of commentating §§ 271-299a and in particular offers a thorough revision of the provisions on rules of evidence. Christoph Althammer has undertaken the commentary on the provisions on judgement and, especially for those concerning legal validity, notes the wealth of newly published supreme court rulings and literature.
