Summary
This volume deals with the balancing act between corruption, democracy and criminal law from the perspective of Brazil and Germany, two countries which at first glance seem to be faced with different challenges. Whereas corruption in Brazil is seen as a ubiquitous problem of the elite, this phenomenon is less apparent in Germany. However this fact must not lead to the misconception that Germany can function as a role model for other countries.
