Hans Welzel was one of the most influential German criminal lawyers of the twentieth century. His ultimate teaching on crime made a lasting impression on the criminal law not only of Germany but of many other countries too. Wolfgang Frisch ist Professor emeritus für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und Rechtsphilosophie an der Universität Freiburg.

Günther Jakobs Geboren 1937; Studium der Rechtswissenschaft in Köln, Kiel und Bonn; beide Staatsexamina in Düsseldorf (1963, 1967); 1967 Promotion und 1971 Habilitation in Bonn; Professor in Bochum, Kiel, Regensburg und ab 1986 Bonn; dort Direktor des Rechtsphilosophischen Seminars; 2002 Emeritierung.

Michael Kubiciel ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Deutsches, Europäisches und Internationales Straf- und Strafprozessrecht, Medizin- und Wirtschaftsstrafrecht an der Juristischen Fakultät der Universität Augsburg.

Michael Pawlik ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und Rechtsphilosophie an der Universität Freiburg.

Carl-Friedrich Stuckenberg ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für deutsches und internationales Strafrecht und Strafprozessrecht, Strafrechtsvergleichung sowie Strafrechtsgeschichte an der Universität Bonn.
