Max von Rümelin is considered to be one of the co-founders and leading advocates of the methodology of the jurisprudence of interests, which was predominant in the first third of the 20th century. Nikolas Haßlinger attempts to give a comprehensive account of Rümelin's life and his work in legal methodology.
