In the complete edition of Max Weber's collected essays, letters and lectures, Economy and Society is no longer presented as a book in several parts, but as a project in several versions. This means that Economy and Society is now being published in six volumes and each volume contains its own index. In order to enable the reader to obtain an overview of all the volumes, a comprehensive index has been provided.
In the complete edition of Max Weber's collected essays, letters and lectures, Economy and Society is no longer presented as a book in several parts, but as a project in several versions. This means that Economy and Society is now being published in six volumes, five of which comprise the older version, one the more recent version. Each volume contains its own index. Due to the different subjects and editors, these indexes vary considerably in depth and scope. In order to enable the reader to obtain an overview of all the volumes, a comprehensive index has been provided, an index which covers all the volumes on a more general level. This comprehensive index can be used to trace the changes in Weber's terminology, which changed considerably during the ten years he worked on this project.
