Menschenwürde in der säkularen Verfassungsordnung

Religion has had a strong influence on the idea of human dignity. At the same time, the dignity of human beings is the central section in the secular constitutional order. How do these two things fit together? Using specific problems (torture, protection of life, systems of social security, media, law concerning aliens) as examples, the authors of the articles in this volume study the topos of human dignity in regard to its effectiveness.
