This book is a reconstruction of notes taken by six different people during a lectures on »Natural Law and the History of Universal Law«, given regularly by Eduard Gans, a jurist and pupil of Hegel's, on Hegel's philosophy of law. This lecture, which is significant from the perspective of the history of law and history of philosophy, is made available here for the first time, filling a gap in in our knowledge of the Vormärz era in Germany.
