Summary
The orientation along »sacred texts« is central to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Since the Enlightenment and the historical-critical method there has been controversy surrounding them as the »Word of God« and as a basis for ethical orientation. Taking an interreligious perspective, this volume discusses how enlightened normativity is possible in view of contemporary scriptural hermeneutics.
