The rule of law is challenged if public authority infringes on its legal obligations. It is thus of central importance which legal consequences such infringements have. These consequences are conceived of as legal reactions, and they are analyzed both from the perspective of legal theory and in their positive expressions in German and European constitutional and administrative law.
