Phänomene und Diskurse des Interreligiösen

The phenomenon of encounters between different religions is probably as old as humanity and has existed ever since it communicated religiously. However, the spaces of encounter and the discourses they initiate are constantly changing. The present volume combines contributions from the international conference »Forms and Functions of Interreligiousness«, which took place in Heidelberg in October 2018, with additional essays to trace the phenomena and discourses of interreligiousness from a Christian perspective. The spectrum ranges from the discourses in biblical texts and the history of other religious communities, through contemporary systematic-theological discussion and approaches to a normative apprehension of the topic, to the phenomena in concrete fields of action of the present and in the everyday life of members of the various religious communities.
