Summary
All of Wilhelm Hennis's works show his distinctive way of pursuing the field of political science. For him, political science is a 'practical science', a science of political dealings and of institutions which define these dealings. It is a part of the immutability of constantly changing circumstances, which makes theorizing about it possible to a limited extent only. Following in the tradition of political thinking from Aristoteles to Max Weber, Wilhelm Hennis has continually tested his way of thinking about political science on classical texts and modern problems.
