Postkoloniale Theologien

Postcolonial and decolonial studies are increasingly making themselves heard. Over the past two decades, a diverse reception of these critical modes of thought has already developed worldwide, including in theology. This textbook aims to provide a fundamental insight into this diverse current discussed around the world. Over the past two decades, various attempts have developed in different contexts and linguistic areas worldwide to make the advances of postcolonial studies fruitful for theology as well. The textbook takes up many of these examples and orders them according to a system oriented toward central concepts and methods of postcolonial studies. Numerous examples, references to the literature, and the authors presented invite readers to engage more deeply with individual thematic areas and/or authors. Finally, the book also addresses possible consequences for theology and church in Central Europe.
