  Summary
Rolf Schwartmann examines the agreements under international law made within the WTO and shows that many of these create a uniformly applicable and binding legal standard. A lot of provisions grant private persons and companies a legal status. He also demonstrates that these norms are in parts directly applicable and thereby create substantive and procedural law that is binding in the member states.
