In this book, Michael Beintker presents a collection of studies which explain the doctrine of justification und its hermeneutics against the background of changed conditions of understanding and of altered orientation problems. Among other things, the author examines the relationships between the message of justification and the modern perception of guilt, the understanding of freedom, the striving for self-realization and meaning and the question of justice and deals with the consequences for the message of and the services rendered by the church.
