Rechtliche Regelung von Konflikten im frühen Christentum

Stefan Koch studies conflicts among New Testament communities and presents their solutions for these conflicts. He also questions the possible legal background of these, and in doing so demonstrates that from the beginning the communities in the New Testament were aware of, applied and developed legal solutions for conflicts. Looking at the entire New Testament findings, models for settling conflicts become apparent, and these models can be incorporated into the history of tradition. Furthermore the author also shows that there is a connection to models for settling conflicts in the Jewish and the pagan surroundings of the New Testament.
