Summary
In view of the fact that most of the victims of the holocaust and those responsible for it are no longer alive, Michael Theunissen considers the possibility of a remembrance not based on personal experiences. He examines the achievements and the deficiencies of the common »remembrance through experience« and, using Hegel's theories as a basis, presents 'the remembrance of being' as an alternative. - The German text is printed along with a parallel English translation.
