Similar to the entire »Handbook of the Law of Obligations«, this volume on the law of damages is intended equally for theory and practice. It deals with the relevant legal literature and provides, in a critical acknowledgement, a detailed survey of the decisions by the supreme court and of the partially differing decisions handed down by the lower courts. By putting the individual problems into a systematic and dogmatic context, the authors show that they are particularly interested in counteracting a deterioration of the law of damages.
