Damages are an especially important remedy in European law - in specific areas as well as more generally. In this work, the authors analyze developments in important fields such as anti-trust, public procurement, state liability, intellectual property, capital markets, accident and travel law along with general European contract law initiatives. In doing so, they bridge the gap betweento sector-specific developments and proposals for general contract law regulation. This comprehensive perspective permits a more coherent development of damages in European private and business law.
