Schelling und die historische Theologie des 19. Jahrhunderts

This volume deals with the previously underexplored relationship between Schelling's philosophy and the historicization episodes in the theological, philosophical and historical discourses of the first half of the 19th century. Schelling's reception in theology, philosophy and history is related primarily to his writings around 1800. The articles in this volume examine the broad impact of these texts in contemporary discussions as well as the interaction between incipient historical theology and the development of Schelling's late philosophy. They also explore Friedrich Schleiermacher's reception of Schelling's philosophy of history and its reception in discourses on history, in the works of David Friedrich Strauß and Ferdinand Christian Baur as well as in Landshut romanticism.
