How is it possible to conceive of and believe in creation in a time in which scientific knowledge and far-reaching changes in our lifestyle have alienated us irrevocably from those ideas and that language which were once associated with our trust in creation? In his theology of creation, Hans-Christoph Askani attempts to find an answer to this question. He shows that the creation is a process which takes place between that which is given in it and the reception of human beings. This give and take is the beginning which is perceived as a divergence of the Creator and God's creatures, as a praise of creation and as a gift which never stops giving its unpredictability and its underivability.
