Summary
Selma Stern (1890-1981) was among the first women academics in Germany and the first woman who entered the »Wissenschaft des Judentums«. This study is focused on the interrelationship of her life and work. It centres on the question of how the historian integrated her biographical experience - which included Nazi-Germany and the Holocaust - into her understanding of history.
