The supervisory relationships between participants in the health system are complicated. Those who pay the benefits, health insurance companies and those who are insured are all supervised. Supervision can be carried out by the government, by self-managed corporations or by individuals in their capacity as patients or insured persons. Some say there is a lack of supervision in the health system, others complain about supervision, but nevertheless it is often requested. In this volume, the scholarly network entitled »Competition - Cooperation- and Supervision: Control Instruments in the Health System Law« analyzes, together with practitioners, various supervisory relationships in compulsory health insurance as well as in private health insurance.
