Criminal product liability is an important area of modern criminal law, and its associated dogmatic issues, such as causality and guarantor status, have led to many debates among scholars about the role of criminal law in the risk society. Strongly influenced by its German counterpart, Chinese law has also been further developed in response to China's practical problems. Lingbo Xu's study compares the countries' legal frameworks in the hope of finding a common solution to this joint problem.
