This work is a profound analysis of the current problem of how conflicts of jurisdiction in public international law should be solved, avoided or used for one's own advantage. Timm Ebner discusses conflicts between the dispute settlement mechanisms of the WTO and the ICJ, ITLOS and environmental dispute settlement systems. In additional to dealing with current solutions for conflicts of jurisdiction, the author focuses on measures with which states can avoid and coordinate conflicts before they arise.
