Strukturfragen des Sozialverfassungsrechts

The guarantee of certain public welfare services as a prerequisite for freedom has once again become one of the main issues in the debate on the relationship between the state and the individual. In this case, restricting this to the welfare state is not enough, since social security is increasingly being put back into the realm of social matters (privatization) and social law is increasingly being influenced by international and supranational law (transnationalization). Constitutional law is gaining a key role in coordinating and amalgamating this process (constitutionalization). Against the backdrop of this phenomenon, the authors of the articles in this volume deal with basic aspects of the organization of social security at the beginning of the 21st century.
