The essays compiled in the present volume supplement and deepen Jeremias' commentaries on Joel, Obadiah, Jonah, and Micah (2007), and on Nahum (2019). By combining exegetical perspectives on the individual books with insights gained into the genesis of the Dodecapropheton as a whole, the collection is an excellent source of methodological impulses for research on the Book of the Twelve.
Jörg Jeremias has strongly influenced research on the Book of the Twelve in recent decades. His commentaries on Hosea (1983) and Amos (1995) as well as his contributions on the »Beginnings of the Dodekapropheton« (1996) have set standards in the field. The essays compiled in the present volume supplemen and deepen Jeremias' commentaries on Joel, Obadiah, Jonah, and Micah (2007), and on Nahum (2019). By combining exegetical perspectives on the individual books with insights gained into the genesis of the Dodecapropheton as a whole, the collection is an excellent source of methodological impulses for research on the Book of the Twelve.
