Summary
Maciej M. Münnich presents a catalogue of written sources concerning the ancient god Resheph. His cult spread from Egypt to Mesopotamia, and from the 3rd to the 1st millennia BC. The analysis shows that Resheph can no longer be treated as the lord of the netherworld but was mainly summoned because of illness and war.
