Summary
The Old Testament is a work shaped by traditions, which at the same time lives through a multifarious use of traditions. These were not imparted in unaltered form, but were rather re-formed, corrected and refashioned to provide a theological interpretation fitting to each period. Just how this was done is shown in the present volume, based on the great Old Testament traditions, especially the Psalms and books of the prophets.
