This is a complete translation of the Yerushalmi Demai into German. It includes a commentary based on classical commentaries and modern scholarship as weIl as textual notes, cross references, parallels and indexes. Demai deals with agricultural products about which it is not known whether or not the dues on these mentioned in Numbers 18:20.:...29 were separated to the Levites and priests. It offers a wealth of information on the types of fruit grown in Israel and their processing. This tract does not have a Gemara in the Babylonian Talmud and thus presents a lot of independent material.
