Verbrauchervertragsrecht und digitaler Binnenmarkt

Following the ambitious project of issuing a Common European Sales Law regulation having been struck off the agenda for the foreseeable future, two directives dealing with contracts for the distance sales of goods and the supply of digital content supply were proposed in December 2015. Their aim is to fully harmonize the framework of EU contract law rules for business-to-consumer contracts, and in particular the conformity of goods and of digital content with the contract as well as remedies for non-conformity. This volume, whose contributions are the result of a conference held in Berlin in July 2016, places the two drafts in the context of developing European contract law and consumer rights, and gives detailed information on their regulatory areas and harmonization intensity as well as the seller or supplier's contractual obligations and the consumer's remedies they would provide.I.
