Summary
Administration, understood as social practice, is coined by communication. Starting from the discourse on publicity in the period of enlightenment, Pascale Cancik, using Prussia as an example, investigates the juridification of administrative communication in the early 19th century. Publication, participation and procedure are the main fields for this legal history perspective on modern bureaucratic administration.
