Weimarer Landesverfassungen

Most of the »Länder« constitutions of the Weimar era were previously available in largely inaccessible and often incomplete contemporary editions only. Fabian Wittreck provides the first reliable complete edition of the constitutional charters of the German »Länder« (including the Free City of Danzig) in the period between the two wars according to the official registers. He presents the relevant constitutional texts for each »Land«, ranging from the revolutionary transitional arrangements, the final basic laws and their amendments up to the »Gleichschaltung« laws in 1933. The volume also contains a bibliography, supporting documentation for the drafting process as well as court rulings and referendums. The editor has provided a detailed subject index as well as a comprehensive introduction for all the texts.
