This supplement to the Zeitschrift Wissenschaftsrecht (Journal of the Laws Pertaining to Science and the Humanities) documents the contributions to the 2011 symposium which took place at the Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat in Bonn and which dealt with issues of »Science and Ethics.« The topics of current importance dealt with include how to handle academic misconduct, ethical standards in the law pertaining to higher education and animal testing in the relationship between the ethics of science and academic freedom.
