Zwischen Geistvergessenheit und Geistversessenheit

The authors of this volume deal with the challenges to a modern theological doctrine of the Holy Spirit and with dogmatic pneumatology as a theological theory of religion which correlates analytical and normative perspectives. From a methodological standpoint this is only possible if the approaches from the perspective of history, cultural analysis, the analysis and the psychology of religion and theology are combined. The structure of the volume, divided as it is into four sections, takes this methodological requirement into account. In addition to summarizing the current status of the pneumatological discussion, the authors show perspectives for a further development of this dogmatic lesson into a theological theory of religion which combines empirical and normative dimensions.
