Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to:

jsq@princeton.edu
Guidelines:
Manuscripts should be in English, in Word format, 7,500 to 10,000 words (including notes), with an abstract of 150 words. Font should be Times New Roman, 11 pt, with paragraph first lines indented, and no special formatting or bulleting.
References should be cited in footnotes (not endnotes), according to Chicago Manual of Style (including location, publisher and date). Full citation should be given at first reference; subsequent references should include short form (author’s name and first one or two words of publication title), not ibid. or op. cit. Series titles and numbers and separate bibliographies are not necessary. Journal titles should be spelled out, not abbreviated.
Within the English text, use transliterations of Hebrew, Arabic and Greek, following SBL “general purpose” style, without diacritics (except dotted h).
Hebrew titles of books and articles should be translated (not transliterated), using established titles where known; indicate (Hebrew) after the title. For journals with no established English title, or texts known by their Hebrew names, use transliteration. Arabic and other titles in non-Roman alphabets should be given in transliteration, without diacritics.
Images must be 300 dpi at 5 inches and suitable for printing in black and white, with written permission to publish.
All submissions are sent for anonymous peer review.
Acceptance for publication will be given in written form and is subject to the condition that the article contains original unpublished work and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere.
Exclusive copyright to articles is granted to Mohr Siebeck when they are accepted for publication in our journals and edited volumes. Mohr Siebeck has the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the contribution as well as to make it publicly accessible online. As author you retain the right to distribute the e-offprint of your contribution for private use (e.g. via e-mail), but not to make it accessible to the public - e.g. at any website, intranet or repository.
For articles in journals, exclusivity falls away one year following publication, for chapters in edited volumes after two years. Correspondingly, you may then (a) reproduce and distribute a print version of your contribution; (b) grant another publisher non-exclusive permission to reprint an article following its publication with us; (c) make the print identical version accessible online for non-commercial purposes only. In all cases, full reference is to be made to the original Mohr Siebeck publication and, for journal contributions where applicable, mention made of the article's DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
Please do not send any review copies.
