The Beiträge zum ausländischen und internationalen Privatrecht series was founded in 1928. Major works, in particular habilitations and monographs, from the fields dealt with at the Max Planck Institute, such as private international law, comparative law and European law, are published regularly in this series. Some of the works published in this series were written at the Institute or supervised there, but this is not a prerequisite for the acceptance of a work for publication.
