This series publishes outstanding research studies from all fields of public economics in German or English. It was established in 1997 by Hans Werner Sinn and Wolfgang Wiegard. Many contributions are dissertations or habilitation theses. The series thus provides an overview over the latest research carried out by young academics working in the area of public economics. Many publications deal with highly topical issues in economic and financial policy, such as for example the impact of the demographic change on social security systems, the consequences of globalization for fiscal policy as well as European integration and environmental policy.
