Case Law in the Field of Private International Law

Edited by the Max-Planck-Institut Hamburg

The collection of decisions on German case law in the field of private international law (IPRspr) was founded in 1926 and edited by the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. Its aim was to provide a complete reprint and record of all German court decisions on private international law, including international civil procedure law (private international law in the broader sense). Each of the annual volumes contained over 200 decisions. The IPRspr thus eliminated the tedious search for scattered and often incomplete reprints in more or less obscure journals, making it an indispensable tool for academia and practice.
The IPRspr series was discontinued with volume 2019 (published in 2022). Published volumes can still be obtained in print or as eBooks, depending on availability. The Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg is continuing the work in the form of a freely accessible Internet database. Further information on this MPI project can be found at www.iprspr.de
