Series
Lehrbuch des Privatrechts
Edited by Reinhard Bork
It is the declared goal of the Lehrbuch des Privatrechts series to present German private law in a manner which is thorough, encompasses its current scope and meets high didactic standards. Thus high scholarly standards and modern didactics are two distinguishing features of this series. The textbooks are directed towards students – beginners and advanced in equal measure – as well as towards scholars and practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge of private law issues or those who have to deal with these issues, such as lawmakers. In view of this, the authors' goals are not to be all-encompassing in the manner of an encyclopedia or a commentary. The subject matter is illustrated representatively and documented with the objective of establishing a basis and providing an outline of the German system of private law.
In doing so, the authors refer to European and international law as well as to the procedural framework.
