The series, founded in 2009, shows that interdisciplinary collaboration and individual research in the fields of Old Testament/Palestine studies, Assyriology and Egyptology, have experienced a considerable revival in the last decades. The aim of this series is to create a forum for the issues pertaining to the history of religion in these fields by encouraging scholars to share their findings and by creating a space for innovative developments and approaches. With its specialized individual studies, its more diversified volumes of essays plus its conference volumes on individual subjects on the history of religion, it is ORA’s goal to trigger discussions in the appropriate disciplines.
