The comparison of private law in Germany and East Asia has become an important and lively area of research that often lays the foundation for successful legal exchange and economic cooperation between the two cultural regions. Opening up East Asian legal discourse for a German readership could also contribute to this. The series OstAPrivR aims to bring together pertinent research on all questions of private law and provide wider coverage. The series is mainly targeted at comparative and private law scholars, but also at cultural scientists and all those interested in legal co-operations with East Asia.
