Theology in Tübingen
Curated by Volker Henning Drecoll and Christian Volkmar Witt
The name Tübingen has always been synonymous with theology in several ways. On the one hand, there is academic theology at the university, with its schools of thought and figures who had a formative influence in Tübingen or were themselves shaped here. On the other hand, there are important institutions such as the Evangelisches Stift (house of studies for Protestant theology) and resonating bodies such as the Württemberg regional church. The subseries “Tübingen Theology” will bring together historical contributions from various disciplines in the form of monographs, collected volumes, and edited volumes, with the aim of presenting a differentiated picture of Tübingen as a major center for theology. This topic page also presents works from the publisher’s catalog that remain of lasting significance for Tübingen theology.
