Summary

This paper examines the Qur'ānic concept of 'kun fa-yakūn'
('Be! And it is!') as a theological
framework for understanding creation and the natural order in Islam. Drawing
on scriptural passages, the author argues that God's command not only brings the
universe into being but also establishes the laws that govern it. Thus, the cosmos is
a manifestation of divine will. After reconstructing the logical structure of this argument
and examining its premises, the paper situates it within a hypothetical theology
inspired by Kalām, inviting dialogue between theological and scientific inquiries.
