Edited by Oliver Lepsius, Angelika Nußberger, Christoph Schönberger, Christian Waldhoff, and Christian Walter
The JöR (Yearbook of Public Law) was founded in 1951. It stands in the great tradition of Georg Jellinek and Gerhard Leibholz and was edited for over thirty years by Peter Häberle. Each year, renowned authors write on constitutional developments taking place both in and outside Europe, while new constitutional texts are also often documented. The JöR begins with scholarly papers, written mainly by German authors on current issues in constitutional law. The past three decades have seen fresh categories regularly added: “The Theory of Constitutional Law in Self-Portrayals”, Profiles of Judges”, “European Jurists”, “International Jurists”, “Key Topics”, and “Debates”, all of which allow authors from both home and abroad to have their say.
Individual contributions from Volume 55 (2007) onwards are now also available digitally.
