SysLex - The first German-language online encyclopedia for systematic theology

SysLex is the first free online encyclopedia for systematic theology. The innovative service is aimed at anyone interested in theological issues - from students to teachers and colleagues, pastors to volunteers and church councils.
With a constantly growing number of articles, SysLex provides short, up-to-date and problem-oriented introductions to central concepts and topics of systematic theology.
To start with, 50 articles from the fields of ethics, dogmatics and philosophy of religion are available. The range will be continuously expanded to include current topics and keywords.
The articles are interlinked, are based on specific problems and offer free, low-threshold access to theological ideas and traditions. Quality and scholarly foundation are paramount: all content is created by selected experts, undergoes a peer review process and is supported by an academic advisory board.
SysLex is supported by a group of editors that currently includes 13 academics. It is financially supported by the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). SysLex is permanently maintained by the Specialized Information Service for Theology. The University Library of Tübingen will host the encyclopedia and ensure its long-term security. Technically, the encyclopedia is based on open source software developed at the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) at the FU Berlin.
SysLex is supported in its public relations work by Mohr Siebeck.

Toledot Yeshu: The Life Story of Jesus

Edited and Translated by Michael Meerson and Peter Schäfer with the collaboration of Yaacov Deutsch, David Grossberg, Avigail Manekin, and Adina Yoffie

Toledot Yeshu ("The Life Story of Jesus") is a satirical counter-history presenting a "biography" of Jesus from an anti-Christian perspective. This is the first critical edition of all the available Hebrew and Aramaic Toledot Yeshu manuscripts, including an introduction and English translation. Together with the printed edition and translation we provide access to a fully searchable database of all Toledot Yeshu manuscripts that offers a sophisticated research tool and allows browsing, printing, and comparing the manuscripts and their microforms.

The price includes access to the database (for one simultaneous user). Access for institutions is provided through the IP address, for private individuals through username and password. An activation code is enclosed in the book. Access to a free seven day trial period can be obtained here: toledot@mohrsiebeck.com.   More...

Toledot Yeshu: The Life Story of Jesus is published in the Texts and Studies in Ancient Judaism (TSAJ) series.
