Philosophische Rundschau (PhR)

The Philosophische Rundschau (PhR) is a quarterly review journal with a tradition of over 50 years, which was founded by Hans-Georg Gadamer and Helmut Kuhn.

In addition to individual reviews of important new publications, it offers general overviews of research fields and debates as well as presentations of academic contexts that transcend schools and language barriers:
Collective reviews discuss thematically bundled works, revealing the status of and trends in philosophical research. 
Book notes are dedicated to individual recent publications. 
The editor’s notes highlight freshly published volumes worthy of attention.

In this way, the PhR offers not only reviews, but also delivers verdicts and fulfils an important function at a time in which the unity of philosophy threatens to give way to an increasing fragmentation into special disciplines and different national traditions.
