In 1963, the recently deceased media lawyer Martin Bullinger (1930 – 2021) prepared a legal opinion in order to improve the pension entitlements of the widow of his Freiburg chair predecessor Karl Zeidler (1923 – 1962), who died at an early age. In this context, he argued with some effort that a heart attack was the typical occupational risk of a university professor. Although the expert opinion did not lead to the desired success, the unpublished text still conveys a vivid impression of the touching activities of Zeidler's colleagues – and provides information about unexpected dangers of the university teaching profession.
