In particular, it recapitulates and discusses proposals by Burney (1918), Welch (1924), Alt (1953), Clements (1965), Nicholson (1967/2014), McCurley (1974), Rofé (1971), Weinfeld (1985), Na'aman (2000), Nihan (2007), Schenker (2008), and Schorch (2011).
